Central New York
Based out of Utica, the Mohawk, Adirondack & Northern (MHWA) serves the Mohawk Valley and Adirondack Regions of New York state. With lineage in paper and forest products, the MHWA has evolved in-sync with the region, transitioning to a diverse customer base that includes aggregates, food products and perishables, chemicals, plastics and steel.
Utica Yard serves as not just our interchange point with CSX Transportation but an active 3T transload facility and terminal operation with 5x/week minimum and on-demand, as needed switching services. With 500,000 sq. ft. of developable land, Utica Yard is five minutes from Interstate 90 and centrally located between Albany and the Adirondacks and the markets of Central New York.
Tri-weekly service is the floor for our operations in Rome, including service to the Griffiss Business & Technology Park. This former air force base site offers near-endless possibilities for fixed industrial and commercial development as well as transload/distribution opportunities.
