Delaware-Lackawanna forms partnership with Transload Firms
July 4, 2010

The Delaware-Lackawanna Railroad has formed partnerships with several Pennsylvania companies to build two new bulk commodity Transloads in and around the Scranton area. Linde Corporation has established a new Transload on the site of the former Delaware & Hudson Carbondale Yard. This new site boasts a brand new truck scale, multiple unloading tracks for several dozen railcars and plenty of real-estate for gas drilling equipment staging.

Bulkmatic Transload Company has established its new Transload near the site of the Delaware & Hudson's former Green Ridge Yard complex and is presently equipped to handle over 25 railcars on newly built track. Bulkmatic is poised to expand its offerings in the Scranton area as warranted by demand. Bulkmatic not only handles bulk commodities for the Marcellus Shale Gas Exploration but is also equipped to transload other products.
